We have an exciting opportunity for a Yard Shunter with a Class 1, Cat C&E licence to join our Haulage Team at our Tewkesbury Depot. This role will involve undertaking shunting work around the yard transporting various retail products. You will be working on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive rate of 587 per week (Plus up to 30 bonus) plus excellent benefits.

The role of our Yard Shunter:
The Yard Shunter is a pivotal role within the Haulage department, responsible for ensuring the goods within the vehicles are prepared to deliver a first-class service.
The Hours: Full Time, Permanent working an average of 48 hours per week, 5 days over a 7 day shift pattern.
The main responsibilities and functions of this role include:
- Safe operation of yard-shunter vehicle/s.
- Safe coupling/uncoupling of vehicles.
- Safe loading/unloading of vehicles.
- Monitoring and reporting of damage to Company vehicles.
- Regular vehicle tyre checks to identify damage and ensure legality.
- Checking fridge temperatures, cables and padlocks.
- Ensuring vehicle wash and re-fuelling areas kept clean and report infringements.
- Vehicle/load run-outs as and when required.
- Collection/Return of vehicles for servicing.
- Any additional ad hoc duties considered necessary by Fleet Logistics Manager.
