Tractor run raises money for RABI

Carmarthenshire farmers gathered for the annual tractor run in memory of farmer Maldwyn Harries, who sadly lost his life in September 2023.

Some 65 tractors and vehicles turned up at Llandeilo market for a Sunday spin and raised £2,200 for RABI. This is the second year of the fundraiser, last year they raised £33,000.

Holy moley: Ginger mole raises £500

While on a routine job in South Wales for his pest control business, James Price caught a rare ginger mole - only an estimated 10 per cent of the 40 million moles in the UK are albino or ginger coloured

The mole caught the attention of a man who is making a Royal Family collection of stuffed moles and thought the catch would be the perfect fit for Prince Harry.

James says: "After a few days of negotiation, we agreed on a price of £500 which has been donated to the DPJ Foundation, an organisation that provides 24-hour mental health support for farmers across Wales."

Devon Air Ambulance 200th community landing site

Devon Air Ambulance's Community Landing Site Network has achieved a major milestone, launching its 200th Community Landing Site in Fremington.

Its extensive network of 200 surveyed landing sites has allowed its aircraft to land in many towns and villages across Devon during the ‘hours of darkness', enabling the specialist medical crew to reach patients quickly and safely.

The charity's network of Community Landing Sites was first established in 2016, when the organisation began the move to nighttime flying.
