The sale leader was the winning British Blue sired unhalterd heifer from Will and Gillian Sedgley, Barbon, Kirkby Lonsdale. The buyer was Messrs Park, Ireton.

In the pre-sale show the championship was dominated by bullocks with judge, Paul Tippetts, Shifnal, choosing as supreme the winner of the Limousin sired class. This was Starstruck, an April 2023 born bullock by Kinniside Mobydick out of a Limousin cross British Blue cow from T. Laird and Son, Cumnock, and shown by Shona Stevenson. Already a big winner in the show ring having been second at AgriExpo and junior bullock champion at Stars of the Future Calf Show, it was knocked down for £3,000 to Richard Naylor, Kirk Langley.
