The first UK sheep embryos have been imported to the United States in the first of what is hoped to be a regular trade in ovine genetics.

John Wilkes, based in Washington, gives his analysis on what this means for the global sheep market and speaks to Dr Matthew Rolleston, a vet and livestock reproductive specialist in Maine, who took delivery of 137 UK Swiss Valais Blacknose embryos.
