Five official charity partners announced for #farm24

With farm safety, mental health and industry resilience at the forefront of the sector's mind, for the first time ever this year Íæż½ã½ã has partnered with five charities for 24 Hours in Farming, agriculture's biggest digital event created to celebrate the farming industry and those who work in it, day in, day out.

The partnership coincides with this year's social media challenge #WinOfTheDay, where the farming community are encouraged to share their positive moments online.

If you want to get involved with #Farm24, visit the hub here.

The official partners explain why they are supporting the initiative:

...

The DPJ Foundation

"The DPJ Foundation are supporting #Farm24 because we want to help showcase what agriculture has to offer, whilst reminding everyone in our fantastic industry that there is always support available in those tougher times.  The DPJ Foundation runs a 24/7 confidential call and text line to help "Share the Load".  We have also provided professional counselling to over 1,000 people in the agricultural community.  Everyone in our team is passionate about agriculture and this is a chance for us to get behind the industry in a different way, through this great campaign."

The Farming Community Network

"FCN's work helps farmers to stay healthy and well, to explore their options, and to continue doing what they do best - producing food to some of the highest standards in the world. We are champions for British agriculture and recognise the importance of consumers receiving more insights into what it is like to be a farmer and where their food comes from. #Farm24 is a great initiative, helping to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our incredible farming community, dispelling some of the myths, and shining a spotlight on British farmers."

RABI

"RABI has been supporting farming people through practical, financial and emotional assistance for generations. In the age of social media, the #Farm24 campaign is a powerful and effective way to showcase the realities of farming life across the UK. In breaking down barriers between the general public and the farming sector, as well as starting honest conversations within the farming community, #Farm24 is invaluable for empowering the people feeding our nation. RABI is proud to be an official charity partner of this campaign."

Yellow Wellies

"There has been a lot of discussion recently about food security and how the food industry has a central role to play in the government's levelling up agenda but it goes without saying that food manufacturers can not succeed without the farmers who supply them with high quality produce. The Farm Safety Foundation (Yellow Wellies) is proud to support #Farm24 with Íæż½ã½ã and Morrisons to encourage the general public to support an industry that is vital to the UK economy and one we ALL rely on three times a day."

Royal Countryside Fund

"The Royal Countryside Fund, formerly known as The Prince's Countryside Fund, was established by His Majesty The King in 2010. Its main aim was - and still is - to support rural farming families and individuals, whether that be through their innovative support groups and schemes, or by helping with grants. King Charles has always been vocal about his passion for the countryside, and has tirelessly campaigned for small family farms. #Farm24 represents an opportunity to encourage the public at large to celebrate the farming community, which is at the core of everything the Royal Countryside Fund do."
